TEXAS UNCONTESTED DIVORCE AND FAMILY LAW FORMS AND PAPERS FROM AN EXPERIENCED ATTORNEY

  1. Your documents will be prepared under the direct supervision of an experienced attorney who is aware of your needs after consulting with you personally.

  2. All documents provided by The Childress Law Office are tailored to secure your rights and to maximize the best interest of all parties involved.

  3. Our services include expediting the necessary filings and service of legal documents in all courthouses and government offices in the State of Texas. We file everything for you except the Original Petition.

  4. This office remains available to consult with you throughout the process.

  5. Divorce is a difficult time under the best of circumstances. The Childress Law Office uses collaborative law methods with your spouse or ex-spouse, or their attorney, to conclude your case as fast and fairly as possible.

  6. Almost all Texas courts require at least one of the parties to make a brief appearance in court to “finalize” a divorce. If all your paperwork is in order, this is little more than a formality. We will schedule this court hearing for you and  provide all the information you need to finalize your case.

  7. Some courts have their own “local rules” that must be followed, in addition to the laws and rules set forth in the Texas Family Code. This is particularly true in counties around military bases.  We find out about these and help you navigate the process.

  8. Sidney Childress assists with real estate transactions including closings, sales and the preparation of real estate documents.

  9. Sidney Childress is knowledgeable as to estate planning and tax issues that arise in family cases. We look for ways to maximize any tax advantages to be had for the parties.

  10. All agreements for legal services made with this office are confirmed for you in writing, usually by email.  If you did not agree in writing  in advance to incur any  fee or charge  from The Childress Law Office, you don’t owe it!     PLEASE  SEE  OUR  INTAKE  POLICY   which  is  also  set  forth  conspicuously   at  LET’S  GET  STARTED.

  11. In addition to our fees, customers will incur “filing fees”, or “court costs” that must be tendered to the Court in order to start the legal proceedings.  These costs vary from $130 - $220, depending on the County the case is filed in.

  12. The services advertised at this website are NON-LITIGATION services. We do NOT go to court for you absent an express, separate agreement to do so.
